# Monsoon Semester 12: Bridges, Not Islands

**Resource person:** GuruSetu - An animated series for teachers in Indian higher education

## Summary

It's December. The Dean asks for a campus well-being plan, and it gets written with students and staff: peer supporters, faculty mentors, private marks and a protocol on every noticeboard. Kabir presents Pul, a Hindi–English glossary. The change didn't come from one teacher. It came from the whole campus.

Shared procedures, trained roles, student participation and visible referral routes distribute responsibility across the institution. They encounter barriers and opportunities that may remain invisible to those writing policy from an office. It helps students name experiences and navigate support across languages, while inviting clearer communication.

Choose one conversation, one change to the course and one colleague with whom to share the work. A written plan needs evidence of use, clear ownership and revision when students still struggle to access help.

In practice: Write down three commitments: one conversation, one change to your course, and one colleague to work with.
