# Monsoon Semester 07: Walking Them to the Door: Highlights

**Resource person:** GuruSetu - An animated series for teachers in Indian higher education

1. With the student’s involvement, help make the contact or accompany them to support rather than simply giving directions.
2. Involving the student respects agency and makes the next step clearer, while urgent safety needs still require an appropriate response.
3. It should identify ordinary and urgent routes, responsible contacts, consent, information sharing and follow-up.
4. A brief, respectful check-in shows continuity without asking for private details of a counselling session.
5. Know how to contact the counselling service, medical unit and campus emergency response, including after-hours arrangements.
